Dr Phoebe Thornley - Life Member CCTTA

Phoebe Thornley played Table Tennis in the Central Coast Table Tennis Association from 1976 to 1990. At an association level Phoebe held the position of Publicity Officer (1979), Secretary (1980/81) and Treasurer (1982 to 1986).
Phoebe also represented the association as a delegate to the NSW Table Tennis Association (1980) and the NSW Country League (1983). In June 1983 Phoebe became the Secretary of the NSW Country Table Tennis League and in 1984 held the position of Secretary NSW Table Tennis Association.
In October 1984 Phoebe represented NSW in the Over 40 Women's Team at Australian Veterans Table Tennis Championships, Hobart. In November 1985 she represented NSW in the Over 40 Women's Team at Australian Veterans Table Tennis Championships, Brisbane; the team was runners up.
In August 1987 Phoebe was awarded Life Membership of the Central Coast Table Tennis Association. From talking to past players Phoebe was an unassuming person who worked hard behind the scenes.
