Eric McKee - Life Member CCTTA

Eric McKee joined the Central Coast Table Tennis Association in 1996 after moving from Sydney; his enthusiasm for our sport was immediately apparent and he also showed an interest in the running of the association.
Because of family commitments, it took a little time for Eric to become involved in the running of the association in an official capacity however, once he did, he did so with great dedication and leadership.
In a very short time he took on the position of President and through his experience in other similar positions, he brought to the association a level of professionalism that we hadn’t seen before. Time and again he demonstrated his ability as a team leader as he led the association from the front.
The position that this association now enjoys was initiated by his vision and negotiating skills that resulted in our bold move from Henry Kendall High School to its present location at the Central Coast Youth Club, Niagara Park in 2003. Here our regular membership has doubled and we are able to play our much loved sport virtually all-year round, without interruption from outside forces.
Through Eric, our move to the CCYC eventually culminated in what I feel is the jewel in our crown (so to speak) namely, the hosting of the 54th Annual NSW Country Table Tennis Championships over the very wet Queen’s Birthday Weekend in June 2007. During that weekend, members of our association were complimented on the standard of the facility we had provided for the event.
Eric was awarded Life Membership at the associations 2003 Annual General Meeting.
